More than two years ago, my DDS noted internal resorption of a previously damaged/root canal front tooth. He referred me to a distinguished endodontist in Santa Monica. That person recommended immediate removal and implant, although he himself did not do implants. I sought a second opinion from Alex Parsi. He DOES root canal revisions AND implants. He said I didn't need an implant (much more invasive and costly) and he could use some new techniques to save the tooth.
I had several treatments over 6 months, finishing in July, 2014.
I just had my final check up at 18 months. He carefully explained the final xray to me and said everything is good. No further visits needed.
If I had listened to the first opinion, by now, I was supposed to have lost enough bone stock in my maxilla to not even be candidate for an implant. Or I would have already had the implant.......
(I am not completely ignorant about these things, as I am an orthopedist, and can count 4 dentists (including my late dad) and two dental technicians in my immediate family.)

I was originally referred to Dr Parsi by my previous dentist for a root canal procedure. Few months ago I changed my dentist and needed yet another root canal procedure done on another tooth, and I chose to go to Dr Parsi again instead of taking a referral to another endodontist from my current dentist.
