Editorial reviews from the web (2)

Irish through and through, this little gem sits in a working-class neighborhood northeast of Hillcrest, hosting a very local crowd. There's an Irish jam session on Tuesday, more live music on Friday, and karaoke on Thursday and Saturday. Open Monday to Friday 2pm to 2am, weekends from 10am to 2am.

Editorial Review

Sip a Guinness, catch live music, or step up to the mic for karaoke at this authentic Irish pub.

Any place that is 1. Irish 2. Has a Jukebox 3. Kinda Divey and 4. Pours a good Guiness is DAMN good by me. I love the small "local only" type atmosphere that Old Sod puts off. I can't find any reason not to come here every time I'm in this part of town. I know this is going to be a shirt review but there is nothing to be said except come here.

I am not a bar person. This was a nice place to stop in with friends and not feel the icky, smoky, bar stench of other watering holes.Straight up bar.Not a gyuppie hang out, which is typical in that area of town.Go for the beer.Cocktails on the weak side.
