Possibly the most authentic Irish pub in San Diego, this unpretentious neighborhood bar is gaining a reputation for good music and camaraderie. Like real pubs in Ireland, the music is often rock and roll or even blues. The walls are adorned with old road signs from Ireland, some of them brought back by an Irish priest who has a relative in the neighborhood. The full bar serves up imported...
Irish through and through, this little gem sits in a working-class neighborhood northeast of Hillcrest, hosting a very local crowd. There's an Irish jam session on Tuesday, more live music on Friday, and karaoke on Thursday and Saturday. Open Monday to Friday 2pm to 2am, weekends from 10am to 2am.
Sip a Guinness, catch live music, or step up to the mic for karaoke at this authentic Irish pub.
Great atmosphere, awesome beers, and classic Irish music
Great prices and atmosphere
I love it! Tony is super nice!
Any place that is 1. Irish 2. Has a Jukebox 3. Kinda Divey and 4. Pours a good Guiness is DAMN good by me. I love the small "local only" type atmosphere that Old Sod puts off. I can't find any reason not to come here every time I'm in this part of town. I know this is going to be a shirt review but there is nothing to be said except come here.
I am not a bar person. This was a nice place to stop in with friends and not feel the icky, smoky, bar stench of other watering holes.Straight up bar.Not a gyuppie hang out, which is typical in that area of town.Go for the beer.Cocktails on the weak side.
Ould Sod can be found at Adams Ave 3373. The following is offered: Entertainment Venues. The entry is present with us since Sep 9, 2010 and was last updated on Nov 14, 2013. In San Diego there are 26 other Entertainment Venues. An overview can be found here.
This bar is situated in Normal Heights and gives guests a chance to be Irish. On most nights, Irish accents can be heard here. The walls are decorated with photographs and portraits of the Irish countryside. Thursday and Saturday is karaoke night.
Thee best pint in town!!! probably the best guinness in the WORLD!!!!!!!
