Not to be confused with the chain in Louisiana, this is a one-off restaurant that has a tasty pizza sauce that makes their pies a must when I'm passing thru Houston area. I like their Italian sausage pie best but they have salads too.

My boyfriend and I went to the Original Italian Pie Restaurant for the first time and we will never go back. The waiter was really friendly but our orders where delayed. Our appetizers where served at the same time as our pizza and the food was really disappointing. We ordered fried ravioli for appetizers and it tasted like frozen mozzarella...

We ate at the Original Italian Pie Restaurant on a Friday night, 3/23/12 and were pleasantly surprised. An elderly man was playing the accordion the whole time we ate. It was music mostly from the 1950's - Mitch Miller/Lawrence Welk sort, but he played well so we enjoyed it. We only went because my husband had a coupon for $10...
