The staff here is solid and always friendly. Do not expect them to be auto experts. If you're shopping for auto parts you should already know what you're doing. If you don't, seek a professional. Wait times can sometimes be a little long. If they don't have the part you need chances are another location in Oakland has it in stock. Ask the staff to search other locations nearby.

I just want to say that the manager Mark (Mckinley? McCanley?) at O'Reilly's is so helpful and awesome. He takes customer service to a whole other level. My battery died during a rainstorm today so, needless to say, I was in a foul mood. Called up this location and Mark was very helpful on the phone. Got my car jumped and headed down there. It had stopped raining by the time I got there so Mark very graciously changed my battery. He was very helpful and managed to turn my bad day around. He earned a loyal customer today.

I normally interact with the staff on weekends and late evenings, each one of them have been very helpful. Jenny is good at multitasking and good at getting the part you need if not in store or from the warehouses. They honor parts warranties and they don't sit there and find blame on the customer for …

Was waiting to ask "whose duck I gotta sick" (letter scramble) to get some service, was ready to throw a 20 spot over the counter to pay for my $7 parts, just to get the hell out of there. BTW there were at least 5 other employees milling about the place.
