I stayed recently at this hotel for a professional conference. The conference was located at the attached Oakland City Center, so the location was very convenient. I would recommend looking into the Uber app if you are arriving in CA via the San Francisco airport. A taxi to this hotel costs about $80 - $90, whereas a ride using Uber...

Run, don't walk to another hotel

Here for a conference & made reservation 2 months in advance. They put me in a room next to the elevators - I feel like I'm sleeping below the flight deck on an aircraft carrier. Turned on the TV and it said 'no service' - had to go down to the front desk twice to get them to fix it....

The hotel is not one of the best Marriotts I've been but the staff does a great job making you feel like home.
I had a great experience at the front desk and house keeping team did a great job.
People was really committed o make my stay pleasant.
