Based on my experience with New Horizon Recovery, I would NOT recommend it. Their advertisements are deceptive. They do NOT have a staff of doctors, psychiatrists etc. working at the facility, as they promote on the website. There is no daily schedule. They do not offer a comprehensive treatment program. Throughout the past four years, I have been to four rehabs and none of them compare to New Horizons. The atmosphere is very comfortable and has a family feel among all the clients. It’s like a home away from home and not like the institutions I was in where they treat you like a prisoner. The staff is awesome and accommodating and they understand that every person’s road to recovery is different. We have amazing therapists six days a week who are very talented at what they do. I am a 36 year old alcoholic who has been fighting with my disease for years now. I have been in and out of three other major treatment centers but have not been able to put together any real time of sobriety. I found my self this last go around in a place of despair and needed to get back on my feet. I went to the internet and selected a place I had never heard of before called New Horizons.

New Horizons Recovery saved my life. The program director Tina was my lifeline while waiting for a bed. She called me every single day to inquire as to how I was doing. She explained the process in a professional manner and told me that my needs would be taken care of. While not knowing Tina personally the day to day contact helped me feel like I had made the right decision prior to entering rehabilitation.

This place has no medical supervision. A nurse stops by every 2 weeks. There are no chores assigned, so the place is filthy if no one feels like cleaning. Absolutely nothing to do all day, meetings at night, but attending is not enforced. In fact, no rules are enforced.
