Be sure and see everything in writing. My car was not constructed for a lift and all the reputable large dealers refused to sell me one for my GoGo. Unfortunately I found this out, plus the lift I bought was discontinued because of a liability problem before I bought it, two years later. We are now looking for a solution but I may have to buy another car plus remove the lift I have.
I don't know why the other person had a problem because not only was the salesperson and owner so helpful they also made sure that I was comfortable with my mobility scooter but gave me a betting seat and made sure I had the proper charger. They also showed me and my wife how to take apart and put back together. Secondly we had a crack in the charger plug and a little confusion about the wheel...
Make sure you have EVERYTHING in writing. Everyone around the manager assured us that they would make things right. They didn't.
