Steer clear of this siding company

The owner of Creative Siding Solutions, Scotia Rd, Pinckney, said that he would send his best crew and sent a "one man crew" that missed more days than he showed up, arrived around ten AM and left at three PM, if he showed at all. I heard ever excuse from he was sick, his wife was sick, it's raining, Rollie has to pull me off to do another job that is threatening to cancel" which was another thing he promised he would not do (it was a drought the summer before last and did not rain during the three and a half weeks he took to do the job. I would purposely point out small imperfections next to gaping imperfections to see if Rollie Rouse, the owner, had the integrity to correct them without being told to. He acted like he did not see any of the several times I did this and I had to say "OK, now what about this spot?"
I do not tolerate stupid, or being treated like I am stupid very well.
I called Mr. Rouse all summer, exactly one call per month and none were returned. So I called and emailed Mastic, the manufacturer of the siding. Not ten minutes after I followed my email with a call I received a call from Rouse. When I told him I had been calling him since May he called me a "liar." I kid you not! During the install not one time was there a thermometer used or were the lines in the siding that absolutely must be aligned to the temperature of the day it is installed applied correctly and the nails were driven so tightly that they are literally dug into the siding. Now different spots of the house buckle on different temperature's. But the main problem is color fade.
Last Wednesday Mr. Rouse came out with a Mastic factory rep. They removed a piece of siding and Rouse jumped up on a potting station I am near completing for my wife without even asking me if it was OK. The rep had a shocked look on his face as did I. I said "that is a very expensive piece of countertop Rollie and if you break it you buy a new one." Today he came out to replace the piece of siding (that he said he would do in one to two days and it is now six days) and he not only broke it several times but damaged the adjoining pieces by slipping with the siding zip tool and scratching them. When I asked about the countertop he again called me a liar. I assure you I do not lie and my wife certainly does not lie. She came to me Saturday and asked "how did my potting station get cracked in several places. As the rainwater dried it revealed them. I took pictures of it as well as the nails driven into the siding so hard they actually dug into the siding. I asked about that this morning only to be called a "liar" again by the OWNER of Creative Siding Solutions; Mr. Rollie Rouse.I am a retired blown in insulation contractor and have done jobs for AT&T, Fords Factories and family homes, General Tire, DuPont, Ohio Art, I could go on and on. I have removed every kind of siding ever made including vertical and steel siding with the nailer-strip on the bottom and damaged one piece on thousands of jobs. I told Mr. Rouse after I showed him a picture of every nail on the piece under the one he was replacing with the nails obviously dug into the nailer-strip scarring the siding only to be called a liar once again. I said "excuse me, I will pull that piece and show you since you did not nail the top of it anyway." He said, "see ya later" and walked away, got into his truck and left!
I would like to add that he stated that he uses no sub-contractors yet Livingston Gutter Company came out to hang the gutters. I told them that the "deal was to wrap the bird box's on the front of the house so it did not look unfinished" just as we agreed at to at the conception of the contract. They said it was not in the work order but would only be about $50.00 more." Mr. Rouse charged me almost $500.00 additional dollars and I just paid it because a job that I was told would take a week was nearing a month and I wanted Doug, his hung-over one man crew out of here. Mr. Rouse said "don't even go there when I told him about the fact that maybe if Doug had a helper he would have had somebody on the ground to grab another piece when a blemished piece came out of the box." Rouse claimed I "begged Doug to rebuild the steps on my front porch when in fact at the beginning of the job I did ask him and I did ask a second time. But I never begged and by the time they were done I paid an extra $400.00 (as I feel charging me double what the sub-contractor charged him would have been fair) just to get rid of both Rouse and Doug who didn't know the difference from a dryer vent and a bathroom exhaust vent and improperly installed them nearly causing a fire in the dryer vent! Now today he stomped off like a little girl. So I would your office send out an inspector to see the problem and then take Rollie Rouse et all in front of the Michigan Builders Licensing and Regulation board for a hearing and determination on a job that Rollie Rouse said to me just the week before last "needs to be done completely over." I dearly hope he calls me a liar on that as I recorded it on my I-Phone! If it took... I just got the phone and besides still learning to use it, it was in my pocket. Also at the conception of the contract I was told that if there is a defect in workmanship his company would fix it for free. He told a long story about re-doing the whole back wall recently on a big job because the installer did not line up the temp gauge and it buckled. Now, today, he tells me that "he is doing me a favor by just coming out here!"
Sincerely,
John Walbridge
