Company of Angels is a small, dedicated group of theatrical artists who still believe in what they do, in what they feel needs to be shared, and who believe in each other. We are a group of actors who run sound. We are a group of actors who must stage manage, who will take out the trash, who must change a light bulb, AND we are a group that has members who will be courageous enough to share...

Decent gay bar in Silverlake. The music they play is eclectic from Stacey Q to Guns N Roses to Gwen Stefani. The DJ knows how to mix it up. The dance floor is tiny but air-conditioned. Drinks are priced fairly

From somewhat good, to just plain nasty. This place used to be a good dance club on a Saturday night. The music used to be fun as well as the crowd..... I was there last Saturday and the door guys were just rude.... drinks are now tiny, the dancers are pretty pathetic, and the dance club smaller. Parking? there is none after 10:00pm, unless you are willing to park on a dark street 3 or 4...

The Bar with an Identity Crisis

The place features blandly attractive, utterly bored looking go-go boys, all smooth and hairless of course, gyrating as though they've punched a time card. They are mostly...

In a very short time, the new owners of the former Woody's Hyperion have succeeded in resuscitating a long-deserted venue, filling the void left when Detour turned into hipster hang 4100. With all outside light blocked out, MJ's has the vibe of a flame-lit subterranean grotto, and is ornately furnished in cooling, lacquered tones of black, grey and red. Diversions include a pinball machine, pool table, dartboard and endless loops of '70s gay physique films appear on video monitors. Weekend music run the gamut from speed metal and industrial disco to classic rock and hip-hop, yet the large...
