I contacted Russell MIller to hire him as a DUI attorney. He said he would take our case and as soon as we payed him money he refused to answer our calls, on several occasions we sat on hold for over twenty minutes only to be told he just stepped out. We live over an hour away from his office and on one occasion drove there to be told he just stepped out and was not available to provide us with legal consultation and instead had his secretary Tracy poorly communicate to us her narrow interpretation of our sentencing documents He failed to appear to several of our court dates and stated that he did not want us to appear at court because he thought that the District attorney would unfairly judge us on our appearance. I believe that he was really trying to stop us from seeing what a poor job he was doing on our case. We told him at the beginning of our case we did not want to receive any jail time and he said there may be a potential ten day jail time that we may have to serve but that he could get our jail time transfered to the Roseville jail where we could serve our sentence on a weekend basis so as not to loose our employment. We accepted those terms and signed a paper he urged us to sign saying that he could accept a bargain agreement based on those terms if presented to him at the last minute. He also promised us he would contact us first so that we could approve the deal before he made any choices. After several failed attempts to contact him his secretary called us to confirm that he did in fact go to court and made a deal on our behalf without consulting us first. She set up a phone appointment with us to review the results of the case. When Russell Miller called us he stated that we would not receive any jail time and were only going to do14 days work project and asked if we were happy receiving what we asked for. We were thrilled and we went to his office two days later to pick up our court documentation and the application to do work project. When we arrived at his office he was not there to review any of the paperwork with us. He left his secretary there to do the job, which she did very poorly. She claimed she was unsure of our discussion with Russell and unfamiliar with the documentation she was providing but her interpretation was that there was no application to do work project and that we were to turn ourselves into the roseville jail in two weeks to do jail time she was not sure how much. Wanting to get clarification from someone more trustworthy we went to the Roseville probation department asap and we were told we did not qualify for work project and we were at the wrong jail. We did not qualify for the Roseville work project program either. Instead we were to turn ourselves into the Auburn county jail to do 15 days of straight time and 15 days of work project. Quite the stretch from what he told us in the beginning. He completely lied to us on many accounts and did so straight to our face, over the phone and through his staff. In addition to that he still refuses to return calls and clarify his blatant misinterpretation of our attorney client agreement. Purposefully refusing to provide adequate legal counsel and declining to act as a respectful attorney I would be ashamed of myself and would hope he would as well. Unfortunately is seems this is in his nature and is something he continues to do on a daily basis. I would distance myself from him and anyone associated with MILLER LAW GROUP 901 H STREET. My hope is to save any future clients of his from experiencing the same mistrust and disregard.

I contacted Russell Miller from Miller Law Group regarding a criminal case and he eluded that he knew the judge and the prosecuting DA. I met with Russell Miller and Tracy Pratchen and gave them $5,000.00. After the first court date, which didn't go well, he promised to call me to let me know what will happen next. I could not get him to return calls and his secretary Tracy Pratchen kept saying he was out of the office. After two weeks of not being able to contact him, I fired him as an attorney. He left the case 'hanging' and had to hire another attorney. Needing money, I asked for the remainder of my money back. I could not get a hold of Russell Miller and often reached voicemail, which my calls were never returned. He kept all the money ignored all requests to return any remaining money THAT HE DID NOT WORK FOR. Did this happen to you? GREAT LAW FIRM! Mr. Miller did an outstanding job representing somebody very special to me who was charged with murder and was facing life in prison. An absolute professional who I feel went above and beyond the duties of an attorney. I truely believe that because of the hard work and extra time that he and Tracy put in on this case is the reason why he got her 7 years instead of life. I sat in the court room during the sentencing and even the judge commented on what a big break she was recieving and I credit that big break to Mr. Miller. She could not have had a better attorney to...

If you are considering this attorney...think again. He lied to me repeatedly, failed to attend court, stole money, and my trial clothing. Never was available for phone calls. I filed a bar complaint against him for his unethical behavior. Research this guy on the web, no one has anything good to say about him.
