I went in for an estimate for a cooling hose replacement.

It was a heater hose that came directly off of the water pump.

First I was told that no such hose existed and that it was probably an engine plug or the water pump (red flag).

Once I insisted that such a hose did exist I was told it would be $50 labor to replace it, even though the hose is easily accessed when the car is lifted...
