Memorial Art Gallery

More than 5,000 years of art is contained within the 14 exhibit rooms at this museum, opened in 1913. Egyptian coffins, medieval tapestries, impressionist paintings, European masters, and African carvings are on permanent display. The collection of American art is strong and regional artists are represented and compete in juried shows here.

I took my children to Family Day for the Golden Books exhibit. They loved it-and so did I!!! I was pleased we were able to see ALL of the different exhibits, in addition to the featured one. We also explored the Poets Walk and sculpture garden. We will be back! Thank You :)

BRUNCH review:Space is intimate but surprisingly not too stuffy. You have a choice of siting in the open front looking out to the museum, or the back area which is warmer and quieter.
