You still failed to clearly explain how you ended up with a loan higher than what you were pre-approved for.  As when you signed the documents the interest rate you were paying would be on there.If you are in the middle of a Refiance, then you shouldn't be worried about the inquiries..you should be doing NONE.  And yes a new car loan showing up during this process could have a serious effect on...

First of all, it is impossible for a loan to be "funded" in that short of a time and with apparently no signature.  You would have had to personally sign the papers which would have disclosed the Interest rate and all of the other terms of the loan.  We went to the dealership with financing in hand (1 Inquiry). We had a done deal over the phone with financing pre arranged.  We made it clear not to pull our credit because we are refinancing our home and did not want any inquirys.   When we got into the Finance Dept the Manager Chris Fitter told us that due to the vehicle and amount our bank jumped our rate and he will save us 2% by going through Bank of America.We agreed only to find out later that day...
