If you have another way of getting around town, use it! Save yourself the mind boggling experience of them running a train north and south. There is always, ALWAYS a problem or delay. Marta is the worst thing about Atlanta, trust me. They will make you late for your flight, work, meeting, and God forbid bringing a date on marta! You will regret it!
Marta is not as bad as say trying to Drive through downtown. The Trains often do smell but hey when you have THOUSANDS of people riding the same vehicle you're bound to get some sort of order. As far as Timing go...its just like the airport...arrive a little early to catch the Train...on a good day it takes 20 to 30 mins to get from Five Points to Airport. I personally don't mind riding...for...
