I've traveled to the Gaslamp Quarter two weeks in a row for business and ate a few times at Lucky's, right around the corner from the hotel. The sandwiches are great (7th Avenue and the pastrami) and you have to get the housemate cole slaw. Additionally, the staff are very friendly.

I was very happy with their delicious breakfast burrito. Has potatoes, cheese, bacon, and avocado. Other places may be cheaper. This was $9, but it was very good quality and very filling for a morning full of conference activities. Prompt service not too far from convention center. Lunch burger was fine.
