Downtown's urban hipsters have taken a shine to this chophouse, located across the street from the Convention Center, and next to the GASLAMP sign. The restaurant's best asset is a gorgeous dining room filled with exquisite hardwoods and lavish mosaic tiles to create a 1940s brasserie ambience; take note of the immense bar. The Atkins-worthy menu is more successful and varied than you might...

I have visited several steak houses in San Diego so we had to try Lou and Mickeys. Ordered ribeye and rack of lamb. The ribeye had no flavor and the fat needed a chainsaw to cut through. There was no searing on one side of my steak. We also ordered from their raw bar menu. Was over charged but that was corrected before we left. I made reservation but the restaurant was overbooked so we had to...
Bobby took amazing care of us. We've only been twice but both times memorably excellent
Waiter had too many tables and sommelier was not very knowledgeable. I broke a glass and it was half way through dinner before they cleaned the floor of broken glass. The artichoke appetizer was under cooked and the meal was rushed up to the main course. The dry aged steak was excellent and cooked to perfection. The hot fudge Sunday dessert was not good but the key lime pie was great!
The food was good, but a little expensive. When our cocktails came out, our server spilled half of mine and didn't do anything about it. When my halibut came, the food deliverer had his thumb pressing against the fillet and left a thumbprint.
Celebrated my best friends birthday there on Sat. It was our first time there and the food and service was beyond exceptional. Our waitress was attentive and very helpful and informative. Overall a great experience and we would defiantly return.
