One of the best beef ribs I've ever had. It reminded me of that Flintstone shot of the rib tipping the car over. I ordcred it with their Texas spicy, which was really good, but then i spruced it up with their south carolina spicy mustard... wow...

Looney;s has been my BBQ spot for the last year. Their new one in North Oakland is more to my liking. Their meat selection is one of the largest I've seen. I don't know where to start. All their meats are smoked (baby back ribs and the NC pork are my favorite) with apple wood, and they make over 6...

Went to the North Oakland and really enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere. Plenty of food. The sides were small and the corn on the cob watery and mushy. The ribs were moist and tasty. We have already been back for a second round. The site on Bancroft looks a little too crazy. Live music on Sunday was good but...

I imagine Looney's is a great place if your scene is sloppy pitchers of beer with clueless, ditzy party girls and drunken, loudmouthed frat boys watching sports on the LOUD TVs, but a truly abysmal place for good BBQ, atmosphere, or service.
