Editorial reviews from the web (2)

Former Sasha Petraske joint pushing the now-legal green stuff in dark, verdant, wormwood-soaked LES digs. Sip on extra-strength Swiss absinthe and let the thujone grip your soul as you forget the utter beastliness of men. By which we mean your cell phone and keys.

Cocktail king Sasha Petraske returns with a slender boite focused on the tongue-numbing pleasures of absinthe and other high-class cocktails.

Milk and Honey maven Sasha Petraske returns, at this reboot of former hip-hop hangout King Size. The colorful Lee Quinones murals have been wallpapered over, and geometric Moroccan lanterns known...

Great, low-key cocktail bar

Average Rating

I really like White Star. It's a Sasha Petraske bar, so you know you're going to get good cocktails. However, it's not overly pretentious. It's pretty easy to get a seat right up at the bar & chat w/ the bartender.
They have a decent selection of beers, and cocktails range from about $10-15. They also have a full collection...

Sasha Petrosky again proves his mettle in the art of barkeeping. Low key place specializing in absinthe drinks, super friendly and knowledgeable staff who mix good, stiff drinks, and a great place to catch up with friends or take a date in a location that provides a respite from the general LES scene.

A find that I happily thought was lost forever.

Cramped and crowded, but classic cocktails worth crowing about. Service is slow. Music is great. Absinthe and gin soaked drinks are the main draw.

Sasha Petraske's hideaway bar. Never crowded, looks like your typical local bar, good drinks , nice absinthe offering, very small.
