Editorial reviews from the web (1)

On this little stretch of fashionably-correct Lafayette Street quietly sits Label, an eco-conscious shop dedicated to exclusively selling wares that were constructed in the U.S.A. A hard bargain to find these days, you can feel good about your t-shirt while you sip your mom and pop shop soy latte and push that newborn around in its $800 stroller.

I really like this boutique--the clothes are all designed in-house and are really interesting--lots of asymmetrical cuts and bright colors. ...

best pumps

label has some really cute dresses, tops and jackets, but my favorite reason for stopping by are their pumps. they were designed for new yorkers. besides coming in fabulous cuts and soft leather, they've got stable wedge heels (but they're not garish chunky heels). they're comfortable all day long (as shoes for the walking new yorker should be) and best of all, they never get stuck in sidewalk cracks or subway gratings. no tiptoeing needed.

The SceneWhile the garments here probably won't make it on to the covers of Vogue and GQ, they're some of the most reasonably priced and still stylish frocks around. i got a taste of label at a sample sale down the block--very cool and unique style, in a futuristic kind of way--interesting necklines and hemlines. i was ecstatic to find out that the store was just up the street, filled with all sorts of goodies. it's not super cheap, but well worth it for those who want something a little different.

Business description (4)

Label Inc was founded in 1993, and is located at 265 Lafayette St Frnt 4 in New York. It employs 4 employees and is generating approximately $320,000.00 in annual revenue.

This Nolita store brings the elegant ideals and designs of this Los Angeles born designer to Manhattan. The women's fashions available are all made clothing factories that often have union principles to ensure the process is fair to all.

Retailer carrying label by Laura Whitcomb and other young designers through its NYC store

Laura Whitcomb--the store's owner and designer--gives both men and women equal representation, mixing most of her creations with a twist of the traditional, taking an old-school cut and adding an asymmetrical collar or a surprising zipper. Classic? Maybe not, but they're just the sort of items to be cherished for a good season or two.
