We were looking for a place to eat & we spotted this. It may have true authentic food but the bars along the windows & unwelcome interior made it for an uncomfortable feel. We had lunch after a big hike; cold beers with plenty of fresh lime slices followed by several dishes. I highly recommend La Barquita. The goat stew is golden-tastes slow roasted with a nice sauce. We also tried the beef and chicken sopas-very tender and wonderful. The waitstaff is very attentive, friendlly and knowledgeable. We are rookies to the area...

An undiscovered gem, Excellent Jaliscan food

Plain exterior, but cozy inside. I had the goat (cabrito) burrito, enchilada style which comes with truly excellent smoky refried beans and rice. Wife had the carnitas combo (huge) with a flauta on the side to take home. Truly good service from Ericka, our server. Good selection of basic mexican & american beer. No draft and too full for dessert....
