< Do not use a bit with cutting length longer than you need.
< Never plunge in directly with a downcut spiral bit.
< Ramp or zigzag into the material to give the chips somewhere to go.
< Avoid sudden stops and starts in you program.
< Don't run tool too long. Running tool past it's dull point rounds the cutting edge resulting in more material being removed to sharpen and shortens the life of the tool.\r
