Editorial reviews from the web (4)

Always open and almost "always crowded", this "popular" 24/7 Garment Districter plies an "extensive menu" of "traditional Korean cooking" in a "no-frills" atmosphere; while seating's "cramped" and servers "rush you out the door", the "solid" chow largely redeems all.

One of Koreatown's most reliable restaurants, Kunjip does business around-the-clock, with a particularly compelling lunch menu that's affordable and satisfying.

Kunjip Restaurant Review

The low- and mid-30s around Fifth Avenue may be crammed with Korean restaurants, but this small but always-raucous eatery stands above many of the others. Maybe it is the ultra-casual service afforded all clientele. Something changed bc the food is worse, the price was raised and they stopped serving egg souffle with every meal. Also we got only one rice cinnemon after meal drink for 2 of us. I also noticed there was no female servers. It seemed like the kitchen staff was taking orders. Food did arrive fast as usual but something defiitely is not right.

Great food, great service. Highly recommended!

Delicious food and great service in the heart of Korea Town.

I've been so many times to Korea Town's Kunjip, I am now greeted with a hug. I love this place. I'm not an expert on Korean food, but judging by the number of Koreans inside and perpetual long lines, it'd say it's the real deal. I haven't had one bad dish here, so go for it! It's quick and delicious! (And modest looking, FYI)

Best in general and drinking foods

I been going to this restaurant for more then 15 years, I'm not sure why these people are giving negative reviews on this place. Sure it gets crowded and busy but why do you think that is? Do you think it will crowded if all the negative reviews are true?
