Andre Kikoski-designed Kitchen 1540, which is hipper and livelier than L'Auberge Del Mar's former dining room (J. Taylor's). Locally sourced meats (Palomar Mountain burgers) inventive dishes like duck skin around bigeye tuna, all play to the wonderment of guests. Breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
Kitchen 1540 is fantastic. As a San Diego native, I feel it's one of the best restaurants in San Diego. Outstanding service, food, and wine. The menu is constantly changing and everything is always fantastic. I've never been disappointed. Probably my favorite restaurant in SD.
