Peter Gwon was my stylist, and while he was supposedly cutting my hair, he was also dieing 2 other clients' hair. Because of this, he made me wait 30 minutes after getting my hair washed. He didn't listen at all - gave me numerous layers when I asked for a blunt bob.

I had been going to this salon for years - since 2002, but after my last experience, I will never ever go again! I normally do not write reviews, but given how terrible my last experience had been, I felt compelled to warn others out there.

I got a magic straightening done in early June by Jiyeon Kim, and she totally fried my hair. See below the turn of events:

My friend got her hair cut here recently and it looked great so I gave it a shot. I made an online rsvp but when I showed up, it wasn't in the system. No worries--the girl at reception was very nice (spoke English) and I was take cared of right away anyway. Probably because I went during the weekday at 1130, when not many people were there. I've been to this salon 4 times -- each time with a different stylist and a different experience. On my first 2 visits, I was made to wait between 1 to 2 hours before I got to see a stylist. This was when I made appointments asking the receptionist to recommend a stylist and not asking for the name or writing it down. On one of these two occasions, the receptionist didn't even write me in as they couldn't find me when I showed up for the appointment so I waited until closing time before someone got to me! most knowledgeable hair stylists, understand ur hair needs

I usually dont visit salons and the well known impoliteness and cold treatment by the stylists and staff being one of them.. KSY is none of that and all the professionalism, adjusting schedules and only about ur hair and ur needs. I live in Delaware and still travel to the city to get my japanese relaxing done by them. There are many good salons in delaware region too but they dont specialize in japanese relaxing and KSY is the best in that.
