Found this gem walking around La Jolla and walked in for some dinner. My GF chose the Ciabatta Melt and found it delicious! I had the Mesquite Chicken sandwich

Mediocre foot.. better places to be had in La Jolla

Service was average and the foot wasn't that great. The beer flight was wonderful and the additional samplings were the highlight of the dinner. There are better meals to be had in La Jolla.

Karl Strauss is on the corner of Wall St and Herschell St. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating next to the fountain. One wall is glass with exposed beer brewing tanks, where the Karl Strauss beer for the house is brewed. Menu selection is broad with fusions of several cultures.
