Since 1965, Joe Allen has been serving classic American fare to the theater crowd, with a traditional that the posters of the Great White Way's great big flops hang in the restaurant. The menu changes daily, so there's always something new in store, with informal service that doesn't lose its professionalism.

Known for its "posters of Broadway bombs" and "serviceable" American grub, this "timeless" Theater District joint is still a magnet for "show-biz" types and those who love them; après-theater "stargazing" – "yes, that's who you think it is in that dark corner" – lends "glamour" to the proceedings.

A mixed crowd of tourists, theatergoers, and thespians frequents Joe Allen, a pretheater favorite. The casual yet classy restaurant serves reliable American cuisine. An don't fret about missing the show—the Broadway-knowledgeable staff will make sure you get to the theater in time for the opening number.

On most nights you can still spot some Broadway bigwig...

Very cozy atmosphere at Joe Allen. The host was very friendly and our waitress was very attentive. My friend and i had a burger which was tasty and cooked as requested. We were not rushed once we finished eating and had coffee after our dinner. I would recommend to anyone for a casual dinner out.
