Information about this business (4)

McGuire's Irish Pub first opened in 1977 as a small neighborhood pub in a shopping center. In 1982 McGuire's moves to its current location; Pensacola's original 1927 Old Firehouse. Inside the pub you'll find a turn-of-the-century, New York Irish Saloon themed 615-seat restaurant. We are celebrated for our atmosphere boasting more than One Million signed dollar bills hanging from the ceilings...

Awarded the Golden Spoon Award and the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for many years and recommended by Mobil Travel Guide and AAA, this 400 seat, 20,000 square foot landmark restaurant and pub is reminiscent of a turn-of-the-century New York Irish saloon and they serve the best steaks, seafood, burgers, and Irish fare this side of Boston. They are open daily for lunch and dinner.

Editorial reviews from the web (1)

Like Pensacola's original McGuire's, this younger sibling sports thousands of dollar bills stuck on the ceilings and walls, plus Notre Dame football schedules, a prominent logo of the Boston Celtics, and other Irish-American memorabilia. This is Destin's most popular hangout, and local professionals congregate at the big oak bar for live entertainment Tuesday through Sunday from 9pm. Opt for a...

I have been many times and their steaks are magnificent. Took my boyfriend there for his first visit and he loved it. Great food beer and appetizers.

What can I say about this place that has not already been said, but it ranks as one of the places you must patronize if ever in Pensacola.  I have eating here for the last 17 years, and it remains a favorite for celebrating that special event.  If you come on Friday or Saturday, come early as the place fills up quickly after 5:00 PM.

Too much gravy. My wife had the lamb stew, while I had the steak and mushroom pot pie. Both dishes were drowned in gravy, which overpowered the meat and vegetables. Most of the way through my dish, I had to stop because I couldn't stomach any more gravy. It was nauseating. I expected better quality Irish food at an Irish Pub. Won't be back.

Irish Steak and Mushroom Pie. The food here was great. Today the staff, however, was the best part of the night. Val was at the table as fast as we really noticed that we wanted something. You must come here in Pensacola.

Oh my God the cheesecake. I've always been a fan of McGuires Steak, but I only recently tried their cheesecake. It was nothing short of amazing, possibly the best I've ever had. We got the large one and it fed 3 of us with some left over. I crave it now and dream about it. Yes, it's that Damned good.

Located on Highway 98 between the Bay bridge and the Civic center, is a growing Irish phenomenon of sorts known as McGuire's Irish Pub. It first opened its doors to the public in 1977 as a two man operation and has now snow-balled in to a 20,000 square foot landmark with a staff of over 200. The feel of McGuire's Irish Pub is predominantly based on turn-of-the-century Irish saloons. While you...

In 1998, a group of like-minded entrepreneurs were inspired to renovate the old building and open a restaurant in honor of this American hero. The name of the restaurant would be Jackson’s, with a re-creation of his signature serving as the logo and theme of the establishment. In keeping with this idea, since the restaurant overlooks the plaza where this moment in history occurred and where the...

This lively, downtown spot serves up traditional Irish fare of corned beef and cabbage and hearty Irish stew as well as typical American fare such as hamburgers, steaks, grilled fish, prime ribs and salads. The dining room houses copper kettles which brew the House Ale, and the walls are lined with over 8000 bottles of wine. The bar boasts over 125,000 signed dollar bills, the more famous of...
