If you hide your car, from Titlemax you are breaking the law

First, if you hide your car, switch, or do anything else like that you are breaking the law and can be prosecuted for that. Second, you should have read the fine print when you pawned your title. Third, when Titlemax does repo a car, any money they make over the amount owed to them has to be returned to the individual who pawned the title.

A brief lesson about conversion

I hate to be the bearer of bad news here, and I am in NO way condoning the way these guys operate.
These loans are intended to be "short term" loans, i.e. paid off next week. To make money on them, and to account for the huge risk associated with making such loans, these outfits charge CRAZY interest, almost 100% annually in some cases.

They have broken several rules here

Keep that voice mail. You can sue them for threatening a warrant for your arrest. This is illegal. You cannot be arrested. Don't worry.
However, you should've read the contract. You are probably going to pay back about 8K on that 2000 loan. IF you don't pay it, they will repo your car. They prey on people that are really strapped, and then get their car and sell it for way more than the...
