A well-seasoned proponent of local ingredients, sustainable practices and lost culinary arts, Weingarten is a true believer in food and restaurants reflecting a sense of time and place.
Come for lunch on our terrace or sit inside our great hall, located...

Inside Park at St. Bart's Restaurant Review

The former great hall in the community house at St. Bart's Church is an oddball choice for a fine dining restaurant, yet it works in its own quirky way. Surrounded by historical photos of the church arranged chronologically, diners are treated to Matthew Weingarten’s takes on Italian, Mediterranean and Eastern European cuisines done up “green market style” with his own twists. Traditional...

Talented haute barnyard chef Matt Weingarten creates a luxe farmhouse menu in a neo-Byzantine midtown church space.

In Short Spaces this nice rarely house exceptional restaurants, mostly because they don't need to. But in bringing good-cooking obsessive Matt Weingarten as chef, the owners chose wisely: Weingarten's brand of new American food,…

We have been there several times and love it. We brought another couple this time to eat before theater at 59E59. One of the couple had ordered the Caesar Salad and was not happy. WShe was not even sure that there was dressing on it although they claimed there was. They did bring more out for her.

I have been here for different occasions, lunch, drinks, summer and winter. It's usually a very nice place and the food is great. Summer time the staff is not the nicest, probably because they are overwhelmed by the number of guests for happy hour. Lunch time, the staff is very nice and polite, except the last I went and the waitress told us "to not stay too long" because they were expecting a...

Food was good but the service was terrible. The girl at the door was lovely, she greeted us when we walked in and said goodbye when we left. Our waitress was not friendly. She came to our table and told us we needed to be quick because it was going to get very busy for lunch - what an odd thing to say. First, my co-worker and I were having a quick lunch and then returning to work. Secondly, who...

I have been to Inside Park several times because it is very conveniently located, has an interesting ambiance (inside an old church) and is quiet and not cramped. However, the food is consistently disappointing. I could not recommend it for its food, only for its convenience. This restaurant would be a gem if only they could get a proper chef and kitchen staff. My last meal there consisted of...

Reasonably priced lunch option in Midtown - which is hard to find. Perfect when meeting a friend but NOT on company's tab. Much better when sitting outside in Spring. Great menu diversity.
