Worst service ever!

The food at this restaurant was pretty decent but the service was the worst I have experienced at any restaurant. The manager seemed to run a one man show...he also waited tables, seated people and took care of the billing. Needless to say there was a long wait for the food to arrive. He also managed to get our order wrong... and was confrontational and downright accusatory and rude when I brought this up. He told me I had never asked for those things... and this is when I had 2 witnesses who heard me. Anyways, on my way out i told him that i was disappointed by this sort of behavior on his part especially since the restaurant business is part of the service industry. At this point he accused me of having an attitude problem. During the meal I had to ask for refills of water, condiments like chutney numerous times... which he never did get to the table. Needless to say I will never go to this restaurant again, and will do my best to disseminate this information to others so tht they arent subject to such humiliation.

House of India Restaurant Review

Sit at one of the gold-clothed tables and sip a cup of soothing masala tea while examining the 60-plus-item menu. The chefs specialize in both North and South Indian cuisine and make some 20 chutneys. One of the best buys is the mixed grill for two, so generous it's enough for three. It's a soup-to-dessert meal that includes samosas. Entrées range from spicy lamb curry to tandoori chicken and...

This hidden find focuses on traditional Indian dishes at low prices.

In Short
From the outside, it's a simple storefront in a strip mall. Inside, House of India's dining room is often full, serving mainly Indian customers looking for authentic flavors....

I visited House of India with my wife and two kids on New Year's Eve. There was a new year bash with various buffet items and a live DJ. Although a very busy night, the food, service, and party in general were all great! My wife and kids were very happy with the food, especially the tandoori chicken. I have...

Lunch buffet is decent. Good fresh bread, tandoori chicken and Palak Paneer. Wish they had a few more boneless meat options like butter chicken and some desserts.
