Help us make it right
We employed a 24-hr caregiver from this agency, the person came one hour late, (so I had to pay our other caregiver overtime so she could review instructions for the patient.) The Hertiage employee was more concern about getting her getting internet connection on her personal computer than instructions on how to care for the patient. She even forgot to give the patient his medication even though we provided a list of instructions for care. We discovered that during the night when she is suppose to be on call, she had her door shut and the monitor to hear the patient on low. We had to knock loudly to get her attention. The patient is bed-ridden.
When we voiced our complaints with Heritage Senior Care, they said that they could not help with how their staffs acts on duty, they only do background checks and only knows of their work ethics until someone complains. They would not refund the hour of work the caregiver was late, and said that they bill for 24hr period. Their only compensation was to have the same person come back an hour earlier for her next shift. But there was no way we would have her back.
Not only were we unhappy with the caregiver, the management refused to take responsilbilty for their employee. One thing I wlll say is, the salesperson Suzy that came to meet me was very helpful and accomodating to meet with me in a timely manner, if only the rest of the company would follow her work ethics.
I would NOT recomend this company.
