After driving around to eight different stores who either didn't have the item or didn't have a clue what I was asking for, I came to Hayward Tools and found the exact tool I was looking for. They actually KNEW what I was talking about and sold me the right tool. Both Orchard and Pete's Hardware referred me to Hayward Tools and they were right! There aren't a lot of tool stores around like this anymore. It's worth stopping by to check out their inventory and tool selection.

I remember back when Hayward Tool was over on Mission Blvd. He started out like a Post Tool full of junk china tools. He still has a lot of that. The problem is that everyone who enters the store is treated like a shop lifter. The owner, his wife and daughter work there. I brought a power tool in to be fixed one day. After two weeks I came back to see if it was finished. I did not have the receipt on me. So the wife says NO RECEIPT NO TOOL!!! I said if I lost the receipt I can never get my tool back. This is a huge store that has a huge selection of tools that you may need. However, their prices are on the high side and their hours of operation are not convenient if you need something right away.
