Some of the nicest attentive servers. They have a HUGE selection of beers. Brunch is out of this world delicious. Eggs benedictish, pancakes with rum sausage, cease and desist burger! Everything is good. A must visit.

Hay merchant offers one of the best selections of beer in Houston. They usually have about 5 cask conditioned beers and the fill growlers so you can get beer to go. Food is mainly snacks and is different.

The best place I found in Houston to hang out with friends

First time to Houston, went to a concert and was advised by several people to hit up the Hay Merchant. I'm glad I did. Large place, good music. Hip crowd (average probably mid-30's), HUGE selection of craft beers and food (mostly meaty Texas style dishes). I don't eat meat but everybody seemed to be enjoying it. Ambience was good, bartenders...
