I really loved hanging out at Open Door. It was like being in a friend's rec room, which also has fantastic micro brew. The atmosphere is fun and comfortable and the service is exquisite! The people working there really know their beer, and they'll guide you to just the right brew for you. There are many, many, MANY breweries in San Diego, but this one is outstanding!

Excellent food and a great team plus an unconventional building make HDBC a gem between all these similar places. I sat upstairs in the library.

We enjoyed our visit and would go back. Their beer is excellent and they have a very good selection of Irish whiskey. The food is also good and above average for a brewery/bar.

Second floor deck looks down the street to near by ballpark, friendly staff, great food, great beer. One of the few places I try to get to every time I am in town.
