This is definitely a bar. It smells like beer all of the time, but the food is excellent. It is good for families too, as long as it is not a Friday or Saturday night after 8pm. They also have an excellent Sunday brunch. It is Rochester's Irish Pub. Every city has one.
Can't pass it up! Great food & service - a must visit if you are in town. Homemade potato chips & onion dip - don't miss this! Outdoor seating in the summer on the front or back porch...super!

Service was below average, had to wait quite a while for refills while waitress was constantly at the server station, it was a Thursday night, it was not busy. Small but interesting tap list, I could probably find something different every time I went there. Food was very good, nice menu variety as well.

Gus O'Connor's is a popular pub with plenty of Irish fare, libations and entertainment. On Wednesday and Thursday they have live music, Saturday is the concert series and on Sundays they offer a live jazz brunch. Open until 2am every day of the week.
