Their chicken tenders are pretty decent but that's about it. Have had sausage biscuits from there a couple of times and they were horrible and expensive. They tasted like frozen, processed biscuits from the grocery store. Their wait times are much longer than you would expect considering they have such a small menu. Waited 15 minutes just for a sausage...

I would not travel here just for the chicken, but if you are passing by and need a "chicken fix" this is the place. Chicken is crispy and moist. Not a fast food place, but the wait is not too long. I did not have a milkshake, but many people were coming in just for shakes.

We love coming for wings, burgers, gyros and now ice cream shakes made the old fashioned way. Jay's staff is friendly. Restaurant is clean

Jay's Chicken Shack is a welcome addition to the corner of N. Churton St. and Hwy 70 and is located in a separate building from the strip of businesses allowing for great parking and easy access. The menu is as you'd expect - fried chicken, fried shrimp, burgers, hot dogs, hot wings and a wide variety of complimentary side dishes....

Got a box of chicken. Best I've had in N C. Does a really good job. Be prepared to wait. But the wait is worth it.
