Gilpin’s is perfect any time of day but they seem to specialize in satisfying the late night crowd. With that said they are open early every day and even serve a few breakfast sandwiches on croissants. I doubt I’ll ever see the late night crowds but I will definitely be back for lunch in the future.

Such a cute place for lunch. Amazing sandwiches with clever, fun names to go along with them. Reasonably priced food with a cute eclectic dining atmosphere. Also, their claim of best cookies in Cincinnati is no joke yummy
Used to be a weekly staple for me. Now I hardly ever go because while the food is great, the prices are just a touch high for what you get, and the wait time for food is really long, even when you're the only one there.
Late night dining is at a premium in downtown Cincinnati. With Shanghai Mama's in limbo, there aren't a ton of choices for a bite to absorb any imbibing you might've done earlier in the evening (or, you know, sometimes you're just hungry at 2 a.m.). Suggestions.... Great concept and good food, however, i have a few service suggestions...for newbies, hang a "place order" sign above the register. otherwise, folks just stand there clueless, looking at the "cook". every time i go in there for lunch, it's busy with a long line. why not have at least two "cooks" during lunch hours? that would cut on a person's wait.
