Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop in San Diego’s Gaslamp District offers a variety of ice cream sundaes as well as individual scoops in chocolate-dipped waffle cones or sugar cones. Ice cream floats, shakes and malts, and chocolate treats like brownies, cookies and chocolate-covered strawberries also are available. Kids can opt for a kid's sundae or a single scoop cone or cup.

If you are looking for that old time ice cream parlor atmosphere, this is the place. Watch out for the menu the choices make deciding very difficult

Ice cream was good in flavor but the toppings are the star. Was quite pricey ($10 for a sundae) and wish they offered smaller servings.

We stumbled upon this ice cream and chocolate shop while returning from airport and I am glad we did !! the ice-cream was great. Ambience was perfect and the staff was very friendly. Not to mention, it was not very heavy on pocket ;)

This place is always packed, but it also is run pretty tightly. We didn't have to wait long. Everyone loves a free chocolate sample, so FYI if you want to "look around" but really just want a little something sweet to top off the night.
