Terrible Service , Quality Poor, Pricey, WHY?

Back in the day when the real Fred Reed ran the place, That was a true frame shop. Is it true that many of your clients have more money then brains? I think the decrease in framing and the increase at the other frame shops speaks for it self. We do have brains we are not ever going back!

Over Priced, Dated Techniques and Questionable Business

Everyone has a different version of ""high end"" and just because you glue some shells to a frame and charge a lot for it doesn't make it high end. The techniques are very dated and look like something out of the 1980's. People use your own barometer of what you like and what is in good taste and not Fred Reed's inability to keep up with high end art. Don't get suckered into paying for poor taste just because it has a high price tag. Freed Reed was purchased by a new owner in 1987 and that seems about right it hasn't been updated since. Don't waste your cash.

Pricey but good

my mother was good friends with Fred Reed himself, and although this management bought the business when he retired, I have been happy with their work. They are more expensive for regular framing - I take things here when they need restoration or cleaning or special attention. If you just want a regular frame, this isn't the place, but I trust them with fine art reframing.

What happened to the service? Spray painted frames ! Very pricey. We design all over the USA. We have seen better quality at other frame shops. We understand these are not real artist, just hired help off the street. The frames tell the story. We looked at a lot and they are in several catologs. Not truly handcrafted.Buying other peoples frames from vendors. Tripling the price for resale.

The most interesting experience in framing in Atlanta

I was so impressed with this shop near Atlantic Station. The frames are one of a kind and very reasonable. Everyone is very educational and nice.
