The stars are currently at two; just an hour ago they were at one. My dog's face was scraped up at the Crestview boarding location. The woman who met us was impolite and did not know how our dog was harmed, which made me feel as if the dogs were not properly supervised. Our dogs both smelled of urine. Afterwards, the rating was 1 star.
Now, after a 45 minute phone call with the owner and Destin location operator, JD, I am willing to see what Four Paws REALLY has to offer. JD took the time to hear my entire story, which shows that he cares. He also promised to review the CCTV and to make changes as necessary should the tape reveal any staffing negligence. Finally, he suggested that I bring the dogs down to the Destin location for a stay where HE would be supervising.
I appreciate that he has passion for the Destin location. Unfortunately, there is only one JD, and he cannot work in Crestview as well as Destin. I will still never ever take my dogs for boarding to Crestview, even though I live there and it is more convenient. However, JD's thoughtful listening and clear concern have earned Four Paws a second star. After I take the dogs back for another experience, the rating could, and likely will go up further.
The reason that I am willing to give JD and Four Paws another shot is because he is honest, he took 45 minutes out of his day to speak with me, and he clearly has beautiful and newly remodeled facilities in his Destin location. All of the above lead me to believe that the events that occurred in Crestview were the choices of one poor employee and not of the entire business. There are three stars left for JD to prove that my theory is correct.
