FirstMerit Bank might have good customer service sometimes, but I would not recommend this bank to anyone. I was charged over $200 in overdraft fees over a pending transaction that came out of my account the next day! My account was never negative--beware of those pending transactions! Worst of all, the District Manager tried to solve my problem by pointing out that they CAN CHARGE FEES ON...

What a Bank, I went into the FirstMerit and I was greeted with a smile and asked How can I help you today and the young lady took me to a gentelman that was super nice and handled all of my questions and since he was so nice, I felt this is my bank of choice, I opened a checking and savings account right on the spot, this is where I am taking all of my finacial business from now on.
