Not bad but, not great either. Food court chinese is a little better. Pot Stickers were good. Have had better fried rice before. Wouldn't come back. Try something else.
Having brought up in a Chinese family, I believe that ushering in the Chinese New Year with (1) red clothing to fend off bad spirits and (2) Chinese noodles for long life are musts. I was able to do both while eating at Fang, the more upscale sister restaurant of House of Nanking in North Beach. It was my second time at this Financial District establishment, and it still continues to amaze...
Our concierge recommended for casual chinese dining - great story behind the chef Peter Fang and the establishment of the restaurant ... the starters were great and signature chicken dish and spare ribs dish were excellent - the pieces of spare rib just melted in your mouth
Service was efficient - its a busy restaurant and clearly not one to...
First off all thanks to Mr. Fang. He order so nice food for us out of menu. Especially i never eat like that shrimps. It was good dinner for us.
Fantastic string beans and the Nan King (sweet potatoes & chicken) is delicious. You won't be disappointed.
It's not the most picturesque street to sit on, but for hot days there are a few outdoor tables
