Please don’t take your pets here. My family has used Dearborn for over thirty years. I have always been extremely satisfied with the quality of care that was given to my dogs. However, the veterinarians that made Dearborn a successful animal hospital are no longer there.
Dr. Ellington is the new owner of Dearborn. Dr. Ellington walked into a well established facility and is profiting from the previous veterinarian’s hard work. My experiences with Dr. Ellington and stories that I have heard from other clients lead me to the conclusion that she is incompetent or just doesn’t care. Either way, my pets deserve better. Dr. Ellington did not test a mass on my dog’s paw that was visible for over a year. I asked her to test the mass and went so far as to request that it be removed. She did neither. When she finally removed the mass a year later, it was cancer and it had metastasized.
I recently sent a letter to Dr. Ellington expressing my concern over the quality of care that was given to my dog and her attitude since the diagnosis; she did not accept the letter from the mail carrier.
Please find another veterinarian. I do not want anyone else to go through what I am going through.

Love love love Dearborn! Dr Ellington removed a huge tumor from my baby. Stayed late to do the surgery (midnight). Called an anxious mother first thing to let me know everything was alright. Dr Ellington rocks!!
Had my first visit today with my newly rescued pittie. Staff was awesome! Very little wait time considering I was a "walk in". Thank you!

My lab, Glitter, is feeling much better now that she is under the care of the divine Dr. Cely, who is gentle and kind and doesn't unnecessarily spend my money which is not that plentiful if you get my drift! Great techs, too. Liese was especially excellent. Highly, highly recommended.
