In Short
A friendly cafe with a leafy outdoor garden and a cramped record store with crate after crate of rare vinyl? Yes, this small Greenpoint cafe/record shop has everything its caffeinated, obscure music-listening patrons…

It's vegan (not all but mostly) home style cooking in a very laid back atmosphere. If you are looking for stuff you see on Top Chef this place isn't going to be for you. If you want a simply prepared meal with fresh ingredients than this is a great find. They had this incredible Swiss chard that I'm still thinking...

Since 2008, Eat has been dedicated to sourcing exclusively from small local producers. Our philosophy is simple: Local organic food is best for the community, the environment, and your body, and that is what we choose to serve. Time Out NY stated that Eat is “one of the borough’s most accessible local-food cafes.” We have also had favorable reviews from the NY Times, Wall St. Journal, New York...

Spending time with Buddhist monks in India had such an impact on Nicholas Nauman's life that he vowed to bring some of that calmness back home, and through the silent meals at Eat, has managed just that. Organized every couple of weeks, these meals are meant to offer patrons a completely different dining experience, where there are absolutely no disturbances. Those who cannot imagine a meal...
