Visit the Oakland Zoo in the California Bay Area. A center for wildlife conservation, visitors can also plan family day trips, bring your children to our summer camp program, and interact with all the wild animals. This is not a particularly exciting zoo - it has some of the major animals but not much else.
The entry price makes it poor value for money - but once you get inside prices get beyond belief - $4.37 for a bottle of water...

We prefer this zoo to SF because of the weather and updated gondola. The route is nice and easily takes you through the different collection of animals. The cafe up top is quite good. Bonus is the small ride area for little kids.
