Horrible customer service

Had talked to one of the guys over the phone one evening a couple weeks ago while I was having plumbing issues. We had originally decided to do the hydrojetting to get a good clean. He said that he was going to call over to the front desk and someone would call me back to schedule something. I never heard back from anyone, so I ended up scheduling with Levine & Sons because a family friend works there and we needed this done urgently.
The next day, I got a call at 11:58am from DD that they were at my house....didn't have anything scheduled but ok.....so I have them come in because I just needed someone to fix the issue. I could tell the older guy was already in a pretty grumpy mood, but the other guy was nice and chatty. I end up telling them that I no longer wanted the hydrojetting done because it'd make too much of a mess in my newly carpeted basement. The grumpy one gets upset "well now we're going to have to reschedule because we don't have the proper equipment to snake with". I apologized for the switch and they loaded the van back up. He comes back into the house and says that they can snake but it'd be $125. After no longer wanting to deal with the situation OR his attitude, I said "honestly, I didn't even know you guys were still coming today and I already had scheduled with Levine & Sons because I never heard back from the front desk, so I'm just going to move forward with them.". He asked if I spoke with Mike on the phone and I said yes, but he said someone from the front desk was going to call me once I got off the phone with him to schedule something but I never heard anything.
So he walks out and goes into their work van. I'm sitting on my couch and can hear loud talking outside, so I peek out my window and notice that their van was still sitting out front, with the windows partially down, and he's sitting in the driver's seat on his cellphone and is visibly angry and is yelling to whoever he was talking to on the phone for about 10 minutes. I'm assuming he was mad about the mix-up, and I'm assuming he was mad at me but their lack of communication wasn't my fault.
Fast forward almost a week later and I get a $75 INVOICE in the mail from them for "failure to cancel appointment before they showed up". So I call them and spoke to the manager who I think was Julie, and I told her I wasn't going to be paying the invoice and I told her the exact same thing about how Mike said someone from the front desk was going to call me to officially set up an appointment but no one called, so I didn't know they had actually scheduled me on their end and they showed up out of no where the next day. We then started to get in an argument because she kept saying "You're going to pay the invoice, you're going to pay the invoice." She then asked if they called me when they were on their way because that is policy, and I said no, they called as they were already at the house. She had the nerve to say "OK, well i'm going to check his phone record to see if they did, in fact, call you when they were already there." Well, what sucks for them is that I was able to get my Blink camera footage from that day and phone call record that showed he called at 11:58am, I talked to him for about 20 seconds, and then he walked up to my house at noon. To basically call a potential customer a liar over the phone for an issue that was on your employees end, is messed up and I 10000% believe no one should work with them.

Called the Drain Detectives after 5:00 p.m. on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. We had sewage backing up into our basement and were unable to run any water or flush the toilets. They were at our house in about 40 minutes and took care of the problem. We had to pay a premium for the service but it was still greatly appreciated. Will use this company again for sure.

Had a plumber come out to snake. Didn’t put much effort in before saying we needed a jet for an additional $1500. We called another plumber who came out and snaked right through. Drain Detectives still wants their $75 which they get for “just showing up to our home”. Apparently that is the going rate to show up, not do a job and try to up sell for unnecessary services. We recently had some plumbing issues, I called three other companies and they were unable to help us. Drain Detectives was the fourth company I called, they serviced our area, they were able to send a two man crew out to our house.
