I am broadly trained as a psychologist, psychotherapist and minister of the Gospel. I have thirty years of clinical experience in the consultation room working with people who are distressed and often suffering from debilitating symptoms.
My qualifications include registration with the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, the Certificate of Professional Qualification in Psychology awarded by the Association of State & Provincial Psychology Boards, and the designation of Fellow and Diplomate with the American Association of Medical Psychotherapists and Psychodiagnosticians. Only a minor percentage of all psychologists qualify for these honors.
However, all this fades into the background when I am in the consultation room with my patients. What truely matters is understanding and connecting with the person in front of me. I am specially trained to listen to the nuances of what my patients say and to communicate this back to them in ways that foster insight and personal growth. Sometimes this stretches the patient personally because he or she was unaware of the underlying issues that were causing so much distress and disruption.
