I took my 4-year-old grandson to Dr. Schneider twice, just recently, a few weeks ago and I was quite pleased with Dr. Schneider, as well as his staff. The wait is pretty long, but I have no complaints as far as the care that was given. Dr. Schneider was pleasant, professional, and just a sweet man to talk to.
Coming into Dr. Schneider's office I knew it was going to be a different experience. My young one needed a couple of cavities filled and she was in a lot of pain. I think I waited around 20-30 minutes to be seen, which was the best option compared to the week long wait JUST to get an appointment somewhere else. After our first meeting with him he had us come into his back work area.
Every room had a child and parent and I watched him go back and forth trying to get everyone on their way and those who i talked to in the waiting room he is rather accomodating for everyones financial situation. He really is a work horse and he loves to make jokes. His southern hospitality is charming so be ready to laugh and hear some stories. He told me, and I believe him, that he truly cares about "his" kids. Once you go there you will see. Everything he told me really does make sense and is really all logic when you think about it.

I showed up to my daughter's (3-year-old) appointment for fillings early. The waiting room was crowded and some children had been waiting up to 4 hours past their appointment time. According to one parent, this was normal for the office.
We were told that my daughter would receive laughing gas to help with any pain. She did not. They had me tie her down to a board and then Dr. Schneider quickly did 3 fillings with no anesthesia or novacaine. She screamed and he just used an instrument to keep her mouth pried open. I was horrified. Apparently this is normal for his office. He said she wasn't really in pain because she "didn't have real tears." I heard other children screaming while we waited and as we were leaving.
As we settled our account, the officeperson said, "He didn't use gas, did he?" I replied, "No, he did not." She said, "Good, that means it's cheaper!"
Apparently he is the only pediatric dentist covered by medicaid and he overbooks and under anesthetizes patients in order to move more through and keep the costs down. He never spoke to my daughter to explain what he was doing and showed no compassion or concern for her. All I could do was hold her and promise that she would never have to come back there again.
I wish there was more I could do...I wish I had followed my gut instincts when they had me strapping her down and just gotten her out of there. All I can do is try to warn as many other parents as I can. This man is barbaric and should not be working with children.
This office is horrible! You will wait for hours unless you get the first appointment. My daughter has gone there since she was 2 years old, but now I am regretting it. She now needs sealant, root canals, crowns, and fillings. I was never told by his office she was having tooth decay and broken fillings. I took her to a new place called Pediatric Smiles. They are much nicer and more professional than Dr.Schneider and his office assistants ever will be. Do not go here if you cherish your child and their beautiful teeth!!!
My daughter went to this office regularly and she received fillings that have now ruined her teeth. The fillings were to big, which left gaps and areas impossible to reach with a toothbrush and floss.
Every time I went to his office I had to wait an unreasonable amount of time and always heard people complaining about the wait and the office's excuse is that they work on the child's time. This is of course understandable, but the office should be able to compensate by scheduling less children perhaps.
The new office I took my daughter to made my daughter feel much more relaxed and was more welcoming. So, my point is to SERIOUSLY reconsider going to Dr. Schneider. Please research other dentists first. You will regret it if you don't!!

After waiting 3 hours to be seen, i walked out. They called and rescheduled for another day, we would be first seen. Waited 2 and a half hours. Had xrays and eval done. Another hour we finally saw the maniac doing as Dr. SCHNEIDER. He discussed treatment on muggy 6 year old 's tooth was hurting. This man did sergery on my my four year old went back in two day for follow up he didnt remeber doing it at all .please find someone else
