In my opinion i would have to say that it seem like a very descent place to live. The staff member were always very alert and pensive of every facid of the building and its operations. It seemed to be a fairly secure site with sign in protocal and clearence must be given to all visitors. For the most part i found staff to be vey friendly and helpful, if at any time i needed any information they...

The Downtown Oakland Senior Center has so many excellent services available to folks 55 and over. There are excellent mostly free fitness classes. They range from aerobics, to yoga, tai chi, Pilates and Feldenkrais to strength training. Other classes such as brain aerobics, Spanish, are fun and also free. If you enjoy bridge, massage, want a haircut or foot exam, these services are very low cost. Just about every day there is a dance class in their lovely ballroom overlooking Lake Merritt.
