I needed help finding a costume for a Juneteenth play I was in. I'm 5' tall and not the skinniest kid on the block - though I am very cute! LOL! One call to these folks and my troubles were over! I needed something that looked like it was worn by a poor southern women back in the 1800's. They told me on the phone to come by the next morning. Sure enough, they had already pulled some things out for me. I had plenty to choose from and their expert advice on other accessories was perfect.

I can't find a single bad thing to say about the Dallas Costume Shoppe. Once I walked in, I was greeted by two associates. I told Hope what I was looking for, who quickly and enthusiastically escorted me to the section where I would later find my costume. Everyone on the staff was so very nice and helpful. At one point, I had one staff member helping me find the perfect hat, digging through multiple boxes to find just the right size. Another associate asked if I needed help while waiting for the hat - so he began to look for buckles for my shoes. Hope was searching for the perfect...

Great service in an old-world style

This shop in near East Dallas is a treasure. The prices are great, the service is amazing and you will look better in your costume than anyone else at the party.

These folks specialize in theatrical and masquerade costumes, so don't look for your run-of-the-mill ""packaged"" stuff. There is a lot of vintage stuff, a lot of spectacular theater stuff, and a lot of creativity goes into the outfit that is put together just for you. The prices are terrific as well -- you won't leave feeling gouged.

Stop by the shop withthe mural on the front of it. It's an amazing place to visit.
